arrow  Join the PCA Today

We are delighted that you are interested in applying for membership of the PCA-your trade body. If you join us we will do our best to provide you with services that you will  find valuable and represent you and all members in your best interest and that of our industry.

There are three categories of Membership, Full Membership-Confidence Assured and Individual Membership. 

Full Membership includes the complete business entity and may be of any size and include individual trading units local dealers and VARs as well as leading distributors, vendors, system builders etc. Employees of the Full Member may enjoy a number of benefits offered to the member.

Confidence Assured membership has limited benefits but enables the member to display to the end user/customer that they operate to a code of conduct and standard of practice and as responsible trading businesses belong to their trade association.

Individual Membership is offered to those individuals who can demonstrate a level of experience and practice within the IT/Digital Technology sector.

A Full Qualifying Member of the Association is entitled to many benefits. These include
Full voting rights and can stand for election to the management board of the PCA

Access to all areas of PCA Website

Preferential advertising/sponsorship terms for the PCA website
Opportunity to promote to the PCA membership by mail shot to all members twice a year
Provide copy to be included in the monthly Newsletter
Receive free mediation & so do their customers
Access to the range of Discount Benefits for all members and their employees as appropriate
Free Membership of Technical Panel
Qualify as Confidence Assured Members free, upon request - includes multiple retail premises.

arrow  Confidence Assured Membership

Confidence Assured membership is an entry level for the end-user facing smaller business that recognises the advantages of belonging to their national trade organisation and in formally agreeing to abide by the Code of Practice are demonstrating to their customers that they are a responsible business. Membership includes a monthly email newsletter, window stickers and certificates and most importantly of all a logo to display on a website and stationery.

To join the Association now contact the administration/membership centre either by email to admin@tcauk.org or telephone to 0845 634 9245 and your membership can be completed without delay.You will then be listed on our website and receive your confirmation of membership certification and paperwork within the next few days. Please ensure that the information provided is accurate and factual in order that membership is not prejudiced in any way.

To qualify the Confidence Assured member must have as follows:  

An identifiable business address and provide if asked with external photos for any and each retail premises the business operates from (photo not required for consultants etc)
Formally agree to abide by the Code of Practice & must display their membership Confidence Assured certificate, window stickers etc in their premises and include in Yellow Pages adverts etc.
Agree to abide by the ruling of the Association in any customer dispute (this is not the same as the free mediation process available to full Members) and agree that
Should they not conform to the associations Code of Practice that they will be automatically expelled from the association and notification sent to all members and listed as such on the website .
A Confidence Assured Member may attend the regular conferences FOC and receive preferential rates at PCA events and have access to the Members area of the website and access to the range of Discount Benefits for all members including employees.
It does not include first hand help or advice or free mediation in customer disputes-the ability to participate as a member of the technical panel and does not allow for voting rights or ability have any influence over the management of the association.
Confidence Assured members will be listed on the association website and they may register to be on the Technical Panel for a registration fee of £200
They are eligible for TCA/PCA mediation in disputes, but this is chargeable. If they refer a dispute to the Association for mediation there is a flat fee of £90 to be charged in advance. The mediation service is voluntary on both parties and is not a legally binding arbitration service however either party in dispute might, in any subsequent legal action, refer to the mediation recommendations from the

arrow  Individual Membership

Our Individual Memberships costs £59 for a whole year. There is an initial once-off joining fee payable of £25. Members taking the opportunity to join as an individual are typically people who are employed in the IT sector or consultants or individual service providers. Individual Members receive regular newsletters and may attend meetings at preferential rates.

As an Individual member you have Voting Rights in respect of the management of the association. This includes the ability at AGM to vote for the appointment of directors to the main board.
Also Individual members receive an e-version of the newsletter and all other regular communications and information. Other benefits include:
Able to attend all PCA Conferences and other gatherings aranged during the yearand receive preferential rates for themselves at all PCA events and
Access all areas of PCA website including the password protected Members section where various special offers available and discount opportunities.
Associates and Fellows and Members may use Fellow - PC Association (F.PCA) Associate - PC Association (A.PCA) or Member - PC Association (M.PCA)  in their personal communications, such as business cards and correspondence. eive all general by e-mail.Associates and Fellows may use A.PCA or F.PCA in their personal communications, e.g. on their business cards or after their signature.
An individual member cannot claim that their business has any business membership of the association unless the business itself has Full Membership or Confidence Assured membership.

There are three types of Individual Members as indicated above and note on your aplication:

Fellows-individuals who have 10 year customer-facing experience in the IT industry, or have a 5 year record AND a recognised ICT qualification.

Associates-individuals who can demonstrate 5 years experience in customer facing and/or management roles in the ICT (Information & Communication Technology) industry, or a three year record AND who possess a recognised ICT qualification.

Members-anyone involved in the industry/marketplace, or anyone who wishes to work in the industry and who possesses a recognised ICT qualification.
